Second Call for ESoA Course 
“Combination of Simulations and Measurements in Antenna Design”

In the framework of the European School of Antennas and Propagation, we are pleased to inform you that the course “Combination of Simulations and Measurements in Antenna Design" will be organized by Dassault Systems, MVG, PoliTo and UPM and held in Dassault Campus at Vélizy, close to Paris, France, on the 19-23 February 2024.
 

Simulation and measurements are routine procedures in any antenna design, yet in different phases. In this course you will learn how to integrate these two aspects to make the design process more efficient, and/or to reach higher goals (cost, speed, performance). This possibility has emerged recently from (applied) research and is now part of a streamlined procedure that can be based on commercially available tools. 
 

This ESoA course is an intensive 5-day study that combines theoretical sessions with hands-on exercises; it includes experience of design down to 3D rapid manufacturing and testing. This allows participants to put newly acquired theory to practice and presents insight into all aspects of practical antenna measurements. 

The course will take place in Dassault Campus at Vélizy (France) and in-person attendance is expected (no on-line access). On Thursday the students will visit and perform antenna measurement exercises in the Microwave Vision Group Facilities. 

The course fee is €550 for participants coming from academia and non-profit institutions (PhD students, post-docs, researchers, etc.) and €1100 for participants coming from industry and profit institutions. The deadline for registration is February 11th, 2024, through EurAAP platform: https://membership.euraap.org/login.

3 Grants in the form of the registration fee waiver are available. For more details and the application form, go to this ESoA course webpage.
