The European labor market demands Telecommunications professionals with an international vocation and the necessary qualification to meet the needs of companies and administrations. It is a profession with high significance for society.

Regarding employability at the national level, the Official College of Technical Telecommunications Engineers (COITT) indicates that 30,000 engineers from the telecommunications branch will be needed in the next 5 years. In addition, the Infoempleo report (2010) indicates that 46% of the qualified job offers indicate a specific university level or degree, with technical degrees being the most demanded by companies (42%), despite the decrease they have experienced. The only ones who have managed to maintain their offers are the engineers linked to the ICT field. Especially positive has been the increase in demand for Telecommunications Engineers.

Other studies in the European context (EICTA, Career-Space, AETIC, PAFET, etc.) indicate an alarming deficit of professionals in this field for the coming years, which supports the scientific, academic and professional interest of the Degree in Telematic Engineering.
